The suburb centres on Sherwood railway station and the retail strip along Sherwood Road, and the residential streets run off from there. It is an easy suburb to work in, which is part of why it made our core six rather than staying on the wider service-area list.
The river end
Sherwood Arboretum fronts the river at the northern end of the suburb, and homes down that way get more humidity through summer, the same as the river-side streets in Fairfield. Bathrooms and window frames show it first. Fortnightly holds that comfortably; monthly in those homes means each visit starts from further behind, which is exactly why monthly costs more per visit than weekly does.
